Final 5

There are only five more Idols in season 11. The American Idol finale is only a few weeks away. It seems like we just started this season last month. Tonight the Idols are being mentored by Jimmy Lovine and Little Steven. Each contestant will sing two selections tonight. Each contestant will also have two phone numbers to help free up the phone lines so you don’t get a busy signal when you call.

Joshua Ladet and Phillip Phillips did a duet together. They performed a classic Righteous Brothers selection, entitled “You’ve Got That Lovin’ Feeling.”
Jessica Sanchez sang, “Proud Mary, by Tina Turner. I think her specialty is the Blue’s. She did an awesome job. Randy Jackson is the only judge that did not really think it was the best performance. Joshua Ladet sang a Temptation’s song “Ain’t to proud to beg.” The judges all loved his performance tonight. One of the judges comment, “You are a throw back from another era.” They also said they feel like Joshua is one of the front runners in round one tonight. After the break, round two began with Hollie singing “Keep Bleeding,” by Leona Lewis. I literally got lost in the song. I think it was perfect. I could not find anything wrong with that performance. We had a girl power performance with the three top female singers that are left in the competition. Jessica, Skylar, and Hollie sang an awesome Jackie Wilson song entitled, “Your Love Keeps Lifting me Higher and Higher.” The trio did a super job singing together. I really think these three will be the last one’s standing the season.
Skylar sang,” You don’t have to say you Love me,” by Dusty Springfield. She hit those notes like she owns them. Joshua Ladet is the last to sing tonight. He sang a Bee Gees song, entitled,” To Love Somebody.” Joshua received a standing ovation from all the judges.
