American Idol is on once again coming to us from Hollywood. One of these Idols will become singing royalty. Brian May and Roger Taylor from “Queen” are the mentors for this week. The show started off with the remaining Idols singing a “Queen” melody. It took me back. It was an awesome trip down memory lane. All the Idols sang well together. There will be two numbers for each contestant tonight to make it easier to get through the lines.
Bohemian Rhapsody was sung by Jessica Sanchez. It was up and down for me. It was a little quieter for Jessica then she usually sings. I just do not feel like it was a good song for her. Steven Tyler said, “Rock is not your forte.” Randy Jackson loved it.

Jason Derulo will be singing his new song on the American Idol finale. He has teamed up with Coke and has a contest that will bring us a hit for sure.
Skylar Laine was second. She sang a “The Show Must go on,” by Queen. Skylar never disappoints me. Steven Tyler said, “That was over the top.” Skylar is only 18 years old and she shows so much passion and believability. Randy said, “That was incredible.” He added,” She walks the finish line.” Skylar said she hoped she made the judges proud tonight.

“Crazy little thing called love” was sung almost perfectly by Joshua Ladet. We have six Idols left and someone will have to go. But with tonight’s performances I have no idea who it will be. Randy said, “I love it.” Steven Tyler said, “That was fantastic.”.

Jessica Sanchez starts us off with an emotional one. Jessica’s father serves in the military so this is a song close to her heart. She sings it for Daddy tonight.” Dance with my father” by Luther Vandross. Randy Jackson said that he can’t believe the talent this year.

Phillip Phillips second choice was a Dave Matthews song. He played his guitar during this performance. Hollie Cavanagh sang a beautiful Miley Cyrus song for her second selection. She had a standing ovation on this one. Jennifer said, “That was stepping it up.” Ryan said, “That was the perfect song at the perfect time.” What a perfect finish.
