Tonight’s entertainment started out with all thirteen Idol’s coming together to sing a Stevie Wonder song. There are seven guys and six girls left.
Immediately, Ryan Seacrest began the eliminations. Jessica, Elise, and Hollie were called to the front of the stage. A recap of their performances were played. Seacrest told Elise that she was in the bottom 3, this week. Jessica and Hollie are safe.
Heejun, Jermaine, and Colton were called to the stage next. After their recaps, Jermaine was in the bottom 3.
Last years, Lauren Alaina, performed for everyone. She almost won in 2011. She now has a cd available. Scotty McCreery was named the 2011 American Idol winner. There was also some talk about Jennifer Lopez and ex-husband, Marc Anthony, having a new tv show called Q’Viva. It was a nice break from the eliminations.
Next, Erika, Shannon, and Skylar were called up. Skylar was safe and Erika and Shannon moved to the elimination seats.
Up last was, Phillip, Deandre, Joshua, and Jeremy. After the recap’s Phillip and Deandre could breathe a sigh of relief. They were safe. Joshua and Jeremy took their seats with the others in the bottom 3. Immediately letting Erika and Joshua off the hook letting them return with those that will be competing next week.
Mary J Blige was now entertaining us. Ryan Seacrest asked Steven Tyler, “Who should go?” Tyler hesitated then said, “Jeremy”. Ryan told Jermaine he was safe as well as Shannon, which only left two. Jeremy and Elise stood there which seemed like an eternity but one had to be eliminated. Seacrest asked the Judges to eliminate one. Jennifer was the one chosen to deliver the news. She stated” We have decided to save Elise.” I was glad she said it quickly. I can only imagine the pressure of being singled out to possibly be eliminated. I am sure it is not a good feeling. We are now down to 12 finalist.
